Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP)
Psychiatric Rehabilitation staff provides services within the home and in the community assisting with developing and learning daily life skills from personal hygiene, organizational skills, right nutrition, and most importantly time and money management skills. Individual and group activities are planned in such a way as to provide a self-directed learning experience that meets the person-centered needs of the participants.
Additionally, persons with co-occurring behavioral illness & substance abuse also learn relapse prevention, coping skills and reversing negative behaviors.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program for Minors
Children’s Services
CKHS’ Children’s Program specializes in the assessment, evaluation, and focus on the recovery goals of children ages 6 through 12 who suffer from developmental and/or psychiatric illnesses. Each child has an individualized treatment plan designed for him or her which includes medication management, psychological developmental, educational skills, social and family assessments. Psychotherapy, education sessions and support groups involve parents and other family members in the therapeutic process.
With the input of the child and parent, fun classes, age-appropriate activities, and field trips are designed to promote the healthy development of a youth’s behavior, social skills, self-management skills and family relations. PRP staff also work one-on-one and in groups with parents to support and strengthen parenting.
Adolescent Treatment Services
At CKHS’, the confusing and critical years adolescence spent growing up receive comprehensive attention. Youths between the ages of 13 and 17 receive individual, group and family therapy to address issues such as drug and alcohol abuse, self-destructive, defiant or anti-social behavior and mental health crises such as anxiety, depression or suicide. Treatment may include crisis stabilization, behavioral modification and psychopharmacology education.
PRP services are provided in the setting most conducive to enhancing each youth’s own healthy participation in the community. This may include the youth’s home, foster care home, job site, educational setting or other community sites. The intensity of services will vary depending upon the youth’s individual needs, environment and diagnosis.
Who is Eligible?
Persons that receive medical assistance (Medicaid) & Primary Adult Care (PAC) are eligible for PRP service. You must be receiving behavioral health treatment & experiencing problems either at home, school, work or in the community. You must be referred for PRP services by a licensed behavioral clinician.
The intensity of services will vary depending upon the youth’s individual needs, environment and diagnosis.
